Profiles of Blade Squeegee |
|
Blade profiles: G1~G12. The blade profile is critical, the sharper the edge the less ink is deposited, the rounder the edge the more ink is deposited. (See Appendix Table 4: Profiles of Blade) G2/G3: The single bevel edge blade (45。& 60。) is used for printing onto non-absorbent surfaces such as plastic, glass or metal. Conforms easily to irregular surfaces while maintaining excellent ink deposit. Widely used on container printing. G4/G5: The double bevel edge blade (45。& 60。) provides excellent control for direct printing onto a wide variety of cylindrical surfaces, also fine print for textiles Apply extensively in cylinder printing and other irregular surfaces, keep the appropriate ink deposit. (The squeegee of this profile has good compatibility and can reduce the pressure of printing. The printing angle is smaller than the angle set by the clipper in advance. Since the squeegee of V-shape profile has good flexibility, it is suitable for the printing especially on the rough surface and irregular shape, such as bottle, container, etc.) G6/G7: The double-sided flat edge bevel blade (45。& 60。) is used in direct ceramic printing. The profile also allows for maximum ink shear on multiple substrates. (Flat edge is approx 1mm to 3mm wide depending on the blade width) It is widely used in most substrates no matter heavy deposit or light deposit. It can control the printing angle at its best. (The application of G6/G7 is the same as that of G4/G5 except for their different profiles. Furthermore, the squeegee of this profile possesses the properties of both flat profile and single bevel edge blade, which can eliminate the breach problem compared with sharp-pointed profile) G8/G9: It is ideal in printing angle control, widely used in most substrates no matter heavy deposit or light deposit. The application of G8/G9 is the same as that of G2/G3 except for their different profiles. Furthermore, the squeegee of this profile possesses the properties of both flat profile and bevel edge profile, which can eliminate the breach problem. G10: It is specially designed for the requirement of container printing and its advantage is to offer two printing blades while reducing the breakdown time during the production. G11: Square edge Composite Dual hardness blade, a 90 deg hard backing supports a full face of softer squeegee material, usually 65 or 75 shore, that does not flex of roll over, giving excellent ink shear. The softer edge allows for good ink deposit. G12: Square edge Composite Triple hardness blade, a 90 deg central strip supports two faces of softer squeegee material, usually 65 or 75 shore A. This combination gives the printer the responsiveness of a soft to medium hard blade without the undesired flexing created by increased secondary force squeegee pressure. This is excellent for printing on high mesh counts (120/140 threads/cm) with high tension, and increased squeegee pressure making it useful in large format high speed flat bed and cylinder machines. Excels in printing four colour process work or half tone jobs on automatic presses
